The CSA project is not a commercial farm and is not managed for profit. All financial proceeds from the sale of CSA shares support the production of food during the growing season and student educational activities of the SAG program. The University of Kentucky Organic Farming Unit is located in southern Fayette Co., with 25 acres; 10 of these acres are in production for the CSA. A Farm Share or CSA program is available:Share Season: UK CSA offers a 22 week main season CSA share (May-Oct) and a 8 week fall CSA share (Oct-Dec). Membership is open to UK students, staff, faculty, and supporters of the UK sustainable agriculture program. Pick-ups are available on Thursdays either at UK's campus at the former motor pool and on the farm at the corner of Man O' War and Nicholasville.
