We started Sunflower Sundries in 1992, making tallow based herbal soaps, local fruit low sugar/no pectin jams, coarse-grained mustard, using organic whole mustard seeds, we grind fresh for each batch. We are organic farmers and use organic ingredients in our products.  We make everything by hand on our farm, except for the corn chips, which we have made for us by an artisan tacqueria.  We render our tallow for our soaps, from Kentucky raised grass fed beef, using only the kidnet or "suet" fat, the highest quality. What we don't grow or grow enough of, we but from local farmers. We have provided all the corn chips for the Univ of Ky Football stadium since 2021 and the Baseball stadium since 2024. We make grind cornmeal and grits from our heirloom white Hickory King Corn.  We also make Hominy from the heirloom corn, which is called Big Hominy, due to the extra large size of the kernel.  It is an extra tasty corn known for its high natural sugars and protein. We grow asparagus, rhubarb, okra, Gooseberries, heirloom corn, garlic, cayenne peppers, wild blackberries, black currants, etc. Everything we grow we turn into a finished product: fruit jams, coarse grain mustard, pickled vegetables, corn chips, cornmeal, grits, hominy and herbal soap. We have an on farm commercial kitchen, mill/granary, soap shop and farm store.
